Experimental purpose: Mastering How to manage routers with SDM

Experimental requirements: Set R1 to be managed through the SDM

Experimental steps:

Step One: Configure the base IP Address

Step two: Set on R1 to enable it to connect through the SDM

R1 (config) #username STSD privilege Secret Cisco

// Create A level user

R1 (config) #ip http server

// open the R1 http Server

R1 (config) #ip http authentication Local

// set HTTP authentication to use local authentication database

Step three: Connect via SDM R1

Enter the IP address of the R1 in the address bar.

Enter the user name and password for the level of the class created in R1

Agree to Java Security Warning

Enter the username password once

The connection is complete and the R1 can now be managed through the SDM
