- "Note" Because MAVEN relies on the Java environment to run, you need to install Java before configuring MAVEN and configure environment variables.
1 Download maven
Apache official website http://www.apache.org/Download download maven here i download maven3.3.3
2 Unzip the file into the custom path , here I put under the D:\Java\, the filename after decompression for apache-maven-3.3.3
3 Add to System environment variable
① new variable name maven_home value is D:\Java\apache-maven-3.3.3
② Add the value of the path variable D:\Java\apache-maven-3.3.3\bin; (Note the values of the front and back items are separated by semicolons)
4 DOS (Windows command line) test: Enter the mvn-v test to display MAVEN configuration information stating that the MAVEN installation was successful.
5 Configuring the Local repository for MAVEN
Open the Setting.xml file under the Conf folder in the directory after Maven decompression, remove the comment from the 53rd line, and change to a custom local path: such as D:\Java\apache-maven-3.3.3\tmp.
You need to create a new folder for this drop directory locally first.
6 Configure Maven in Eclipse.
The new version of the Eclipse IDE already has the Mavern plugin, which only needs to be configured in eclipse for the download and installation of Maven.
Click on the Eclipse menu bar->preferences window to the left of the user Setting under the Maven list
Maven Download install Eclipse configuration (Windows)
