MDT 2013 from getting started to mastering the new MDT Database

Early on our database creation preparation is basically done, and then we start creating the MDT database. If you have out-of-the-box SQL, you can turn on TCP/IP, Named pipes and connectivity testing.

1. Open Advanced Configuration to database right mouse button select New database:

2, according to the prompt input SQL Server name (can enter full name), instance name, and select named Pipesnext continue:

You can also use TCP/IP mode here, note that SQL Server name enters the IP address and specifies the port, in this case 1433:

3. Select Create a new database, which creates a MDT2013, click Next to continue:
