Perform a full test
Click the "C" key to open the settings menu of Memtest86, and then click the number key "2" and select the "Test Selection" option (Note that the number is entered from the primary keyboard ), click "3" and select "All Test" to enable the full Test mode. With this menu, we can also perform more settings, such as setting the Cache size for the test and restarting the test.
After the test starts, major memory emergency problems (such as "death" bits) will be detected within several seconds. If the fault is triggered by the special location mode, it takes a long time for the test to be detected. When Memtest86 detects a defect, an error message is displayed at the bottom of the screen, but the test continues. If there is no error message after testing several times, we can determine that the memory is stable and reliable. If a problem occurs during the detection, you can try to reduce the option value of the memory parameter in the BIOS, such as setting the memory CAS delay time to 3 and then testing. This may avoid errors, ensure the stability of the memory runtime.
Finally, it is worth noting that if your system has multiple memory records (I believe there are a few in your machine), you need to test each memory separately, in this way, we can identify the memory error.
