Wireless Extender is a Wi-Fi signal amplifier, its role is to your home, office and other environments have but the weak wireless Wi-Fi to enhance the amplification, so that each corner has a strong signal. The following figure:

The purpose of using an Extender is to enhance the amplification of existing wireless signals, so before setting up you must know which signal you are going to magnify and the wireless password for this signal.

This article describes how to set up mw301re using a laptop or a desktop with a wireless network card installed.

Set method

When you purchase the Extender, the Extender is in the factory state, directly plugged in is not able to enlarge the Wi-Fi signal, you need to set the Extender to enlarge the wireless signal.

Mobile connection

Plug the extender into a power outlet near the router. The extender emits a wireless signal named mercury_re_xxxx(x for example). The signal is "temporary" to set the Extender, and the signal disappears when the setting is complete. The following figure:

Many users are connected to other Wi-Fi signals, resulting in the inability to enter the interface. So be sure to connect this " temp " signal and turn off the mobile data flow switch . As follows:

Note: If the factory default signal is not searched, it may have been set, and we recommend resetting the Extender.

Open a Web browser, such as the Apple Mobile Safari, Android mobile phone installed QQ Browser, 360 browser, etc., in the Address bar manually enter the login address 192.168.1.253 or melogin.cn, as follows:

After a successful login page, you need to set a password for the admin extender. The password will later be used to log in to the Extender interface, which is not a wireless password that connects Wi-Fi. As follows:

Note: Passwords must not be less than 6 digits.

Into the Extender settings interface, the Extender automatically scans for peripheral signals, waiting for a while:

In the list of scanned signals, find the signal you want to extend ( if the signal may be too weak or for the Chinese signal if the search is not available, please modify the signal name to be extended):

Enter the wireless password for the signal to be extended (that is, the router), not to set a new wireless password.

Note : Do not modify the wireless name of the Extender to enable wireless roaming.

The settings are complete, and the page prompts to view the status of the Extender's LEDs, as shown below:

After the Extender is set up successfully, plug the Extender into the socket around the weaker area of the previous signal (please do not go too far, for example, within two walls or within 50 meters).

About 30 seconds to expand the success, adjust the appropriate location, orange to indicate that the extender from the main router too close or too far, the green is advisable.

At this point, the factory default signal for the extender disappears and the wireless name and password of the transmitter are identical to those of the router. Your mobile phone, computer can automatically connect to the expansion of the signal (also can be manually operated), connect the signal after the Internet.
