When the vcenter server is connected to an Azure backup server, the next step is to back up and restore the virtual machines above.
Select Protection--new protection
Start creating a protection group interface
Select Server
Open the Vcenter directory and select the virtual machine you want to back up
Fill in the group name, tick Protect mode, here you must disk to select Online protection.
Set up retention ranges and full backups
Leave the default settings and click Next
Set up automatic network replication now
Run consistency check
Select a virtual machine that requires a cloud-protected backup
Set the time for backup replication
Set up protection plans and retention policies
Automatic replication via network
After confirming the information, click Create Protection Group
Protection group Creation succeeded
Protection group member Status OK
To create a restore point
Select Online protection to back up to Azure
Successfully created online restore point
In the restore bar you can see that DC01 has successfully created a restore point in the cloud
Now that Azure cloud Backup is successful, the restore operation starts below.
In the Restore bar, click Restore
Click Next
Click Next
Select revert to the original instance, which is the same exsi Host
Confirm the error, click Restore
The virtual machine restore was successful.
At this point, the VMware virtual machine backup restore on Azure has been implemented.
