Microsoft innovation day, passion?

On April 9, October 12, I attended the Microsoft technology innovation Day event on the Changsha site.
1. Microsoft's vision is to share the latest Microsoft development platform technology through such a technology innovation day, including Windows Mobile 6.1, Windows Vista (iis7), and Windows Live. These content should be said that Microsoft has made great efforts to answer the questions and is very attractive to developers.
2. The lectures given by teacher Ren Yan are still so passionate and humorous. I often see Ren Yan's webcast and have a deep understanding of it. I will explain the code and have theory and practice, don't talk about people.
3. Hunan Microsoft developer club is well-organized for conferences. MVP Chen Ruiqi, club chairman he tianming, and other organizational staff have worked hard.

However, after the event was completed, I was a little disappointed. I felt: Microsoft's innovation day, how passionate? There are only a few 30 participants. Why is one activity with many attractive themes so unappealing? I think there are probably the following reasons:

1. Do local developers in Changsha seem to lack passion? Of course, this also reflects the development of IT in Changsha: backward and slow. Far from the pace and pressure of cities like Beijing and Shanghai, the desire for development is not strong enough to satisfy the current situation. Of the participants, less than 40% were actually engaged in first-line development. The enthusiasm of students in schools (including IT training schools) is much higher than that of frontline developers. On the one hand, programmers complain that there is too little offline communication, great learning pressure, and lack of enthusiasm to participate in such offline activities. This is really a strange problem.

2. insufficient publicity efforts. For activities such as Microsoft, communication with local software development enterprises in Changsha is not enough. Software Development enterprises should be assisted to encourage developers to actively participate in such activities. This is a win-win situation for both Microsoft and development enterprises, instead of relying on developers to participate. This may reflect a problem from one perspective: Does Microsoft (China) not pay enough attention to investment and investment in cities with low IT development in the Mainland such as Changsha? Of course, I don't know what will happen in other cities like Changsha. Look at Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and other similar offline activities.

3. Does the activity seem monotonous? There are too few interaction links, which makes the activity a bit dull.

4. The schedule is not reasonable. From the content of the topic, it may take one day to compress all the results into one afternoon, so that a lot of in-depth content, such as Windows Live, it's a pity that this part of the seminar is wonderful. Previous similar Microsoft activities had such problems. The teacher hurriedly finished the lecture and then everyone left.

Looking at the event, the failure to succeed, the inactive participants, and the importance attached by the organizer "Microsoft" are also a problem? For such a big city innovation day, Microsoft should not make a performance evaluation; otherwise, it will lose its significance.

I am worried: the inactive participants caused Microsoft to break the jar and give up holding similar activities in Changsha? This is probably the result that developers in Changsha do not want to see.
