Our team works on and not limited to the following areas related with delivering best search experience–user experience, User understanding, System and infrastructure, data pipeline and aggregation, and various relevance technologies (ranking , query rewriting, related search and query recommendation, document understanding, Word breaking and entity recognition, Data and knowledge mining, SEO and anti-spam, adult and junk detection, index selection and discovery). As a Senior software Engineer, the major job responsibilities include

? Work with peer engineering teams and researchers to improve Bing's relevance and experience in CJK;

? Apply novel data Mining and statistics method to measure and understand the search quality gap and identify space to Impro ve

? Design and implement innovative algorithms, experiments and practical solutions to enhance Bing search quality

Qualifications:

You must has innovative nature, be able to thinking "outside the box", feel comfortable operating within a fast moving re Search and development team. Strong mathematic abilities and background is highly desirable. You should also has great core development Skills:strong passion for delivering quality products, proven track record of Working in a product group, great design, and excellent written and oral communication. The ability to handle multiple concurrent releases and demonstrated experience driving for results in a cross-group/team p Roject is a must.

? MS or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer science, Mathematics, NLP, machine learning, Speech or related field

? 5+ years of experience programming in c/c++/c#, Java and/or other computer programming languages preferred

? Strong capability to apply your statistics, mathematical and algorithmic expertise to solve real problems.

? Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking "outside the box"

? Expertise in feature definition, design, and feasibility

? Experience in information retrieval, data mining, machine learning, classification or clustering are a big plus

? Language expertise Besides Chinese and 中文版 is a plus
