Microsoft promotes Windows 10 Edge browser's new magic weapon Office 365
Microsoft is trying to keep users away from earlier ie browsers such as Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9, instead of using a new version of Windows 10 Edge browser. Starting from January 1, January 12, 2016, Microsoft will change the system requirements for Office 365 subscription. Microsoft said that the old version of Internet Explorer cannot meet the new requirements of Office 365, and the user experience of Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9 will be compromised.
Microsoft said that in Office 365 design, the target collaborative browser is the latest generation of Windows 10 Edge. Edge browsers are updated with the update of Windows Services. Office 365 is compatible with the latest version of Edge browsers, but it is not guaranteed to be compatible with older browsers.
Microsoft has announced that it will only provide security updates for IE11 after December 11. Now, we use Office 365 to encourage users to abandon IE and use Edge browsers.
The Microsoft official page also lists the Internet Explorer compatibility lists for other services, including Yammer, Sharepoint, and Office Online.
It should be noted that Office January 12, 2016 is still compatible with the old version of IE after 365, but Microsoft has started to use the features and Security Technology of the new version of browser in Office 365. If you insist on using the old version of IE, you must take security risks on your own. (Via: WinBeta, By kareem anderson)
