Introduction to SQL Server services

This has to be written in the front. SQL Server has several major services, including data engine services, Integration Services, analytics services, and Reporting Services, which you will see when you install SQL Server.

The Data Engine service is what we typically refer to as tables, views, and stored procedures when referring to the services involved.

Integration services are used to toss data, usually in the transfer of data from the business library to the Data Warehouse, through which the middle of the cleaning and transformation of a lot of work.

Report service is mainly used for reporting purposes, there is not much explanation here.

The analysis service consisted mainly of multidimensional database and data mining, but in version 2012, a table pattern of independent BI semantic model was added.

Typically, we develop a program that installs only the data Engine services. Other services are not necessary to install, because they occupy the hard disk space does not say, the runtime does not have a service to occupy some memory resources.
