Users are always asking for the GPRS setting method. In addition, due to the reasons of China Mobile, a GPRS network is artificially integrated into two access services: cmnet and cmwap, which brings more problems. This article was accelerated after a user was deducted more than 100 yuan of network fees by mobile robbers yesterday. The reason why new users are recommended is to avoid new users from repeating the same mistakes, so that mobile phones can deduct unexpected network fees.

Before describing the settings, I would like to explain some network names in my personal understanding.

1. the GSM network is a 2G network, which is used by cellular mobile communication phones;

The GPRS access service is divided into cmnet and cmwap. The two services are different, and the charges are also different. In other words, cmnet is the access to www. It can be used to connect to www websites, such as www.163.com. Cmwap is a WAP access. It can be used to connect to WAP websites, such as wap.163.com. Ask carefully how much you charge for the two access cards on your mobile phone 10086, and decide your mobile phone settings and the way you access the internet. 3. EDGE network, known as the 2.75g network, provides wireless data services at a theoretical speed of 2 Mbps.

Edge is actually the enhancement of GPRS, the service method, the charging method is the same, that is, the speed is improved. Not all cities have EDGE networks. first-tier cities in China are generally activated. Call 10086 for consultation. Not every mobile phone supports edge. Ask your seller if your mobile phone supports edge. Currently, I am selling smart shanzhai machines here. Only S1 perfect edition supports enetwork. Others can only support gnetwork.

4, TD-SCDMA network, 3G network.

The above explains the meaning of GPRS and can have some basic understanding for users. Now let's talk about settings. Set the cmnet and cmwap of GPRS. The cmnet settings and cmwap settings enable the access service according to your own needs.

By default, the new system sets the "Internet Settings" and "unit Settings" connection methods. These two settings are named, their default connection method is "Internet Settings" to access the cmnet service, and "unit Settings" to access the cmwap service. Of course, you can also modify the names of the two, but this is not necessary. All you need to do is set your mobile phone to your desired access service.

Click Select network in advanced, as shown in:

From the above settings, we can see that the mobile phone sets "Internet Settings" for connecting to the Internet and "unit Settings" for connecting to the private network ". We have the right to ignore what the Internet and VPC refer to. First, we need to find out what services our SIM card carries.

If both cmnet and cmwap are connected to your mobile phone card, congratulations! You don't need to set anything. Use it by default. However, in most regions, users' mobile phone cards are activated for RMB 5 and the monthly subscription services such as RMB 10 only include cmwap access. If you do not change the settings to directly access the Internet, you will unfortunately be mounted to cmnet and then be moved away from all the remaining calls on your card. Of course, as far as I know, there is no access only to cmnet, and it is impossible to only access cmnet without cmwap.

Simply put, mobile Internet is divided into high-end cmnet and Low-block cmwap. Cmnet is expensive and cmwap is cheap; cmnet has many websites, and cmwap has fewer websites; cmnet has only been activated without worrying about cmwap, if only cmwap is activated, be careful not to attach cmnet.

As you can see from the above, what we have to do is very simple. First, call 10086 to find out whether your card is cmnet or cmwap or both. If you have cmnet, you don't have to worry too much about it. You only need to calculate the total traffic. If only cmwap is available, it is clear how to set up a website that is accessible to you without mobile exploitation and access to cmnet.

Return to "Internet Settings" and "unit Settings" above ". In fact, two connection methods are set by default on the mobile phone. Click Edit under "Internet Settings" in the figure above. You can see a connection named "GPRS" in it, and click Edit below to see the content.

A connection named GPRS accesses a cmnet access point. The username and password for the next step are empty.

From the preceding steps, we can see that "Internet Settings" actually sets a cmnet Access Named GPRS.

Therefore, we have figured out whether our card is a cmwap service or not, and what service is corresponding to cmnet and cmwap of mobile phones. Since cmnet is activated, we will focus on the following configuration methods for the cmwap service.

Go back to the network management page, and there is no "Internet Settings" for connecting to the Internet and connecting to the private network. You should change both the upper and lower layers to "unit Settings ". As shown in, click OK and return to the connection settings task page. Only unit settings are displayed.

Although it is easy to worry about it now, because there is no "Internet Settings" in your connection settings, it means it will not be mounted to the cmnet service. However, the setting at this time only ensures that you use Internet Explorer for WAP websites. How can I access the WWW website? Can I access www without cmnet? Neither! The WWW website on cmwap is the proxy server to be described next.

Click "set my proxy server" in the upper-right corner and press "10.0.0.172" to set the proxy server.

Click OK to complete proxy settings. Rest assured that using GPRS will not be linked to the annoying cmnet, and you can also go to the WWW website. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the GPRS traffic!

Through the above settings, I believe you already know the GPRS settings of PPC. Setting proper access based on your own services is convenient and cost-effective. You should have written it here. However, if a user asks a question, I don't need to use GPRS to access the Internet at all, neither cmnet nor cmwap. If so, can I avoid GPRS dialing on the mobile phone signal? In fact, it is very easy to go to "Internet Settings" and "unit Settings" and delete the GPRS and WAP settings below them. In this way, you will never have to worry about accessing the Internet through GPRS. Of course, if you want to go to GPRS that day, you can still create a new one. I will not repeat them here.
