1. Migrating an IBM RAD Project
If you have any Wsad 5.1 (or later) or RAD 6 (or later) projects located in your workspace, then the Project Migration Wizard can be executed. MyEclipse supports the migration of wizards for all types of projects.
(1) Import WASD or RAD projects into the workspace. For the ear project, ensure that all ear modules included in the ear project are imported into your workspace.
(2) When you import a RAD project, you are prompted to migrate the project, and then click Next to continue.

(3) Select the project. If you do not configure a service connector that is associated with the target runtime of the project, the error appears in the list of issues. If you continue to use the server associated with the project, the browser will fix the problem by installing a directory for the server.
Add a new run-time
Otherwise, choose the Add New runtime from the Target runtime drop-down menu to configure a different connector. This tutorial adds a new run-time configuration for WebSphere 8.5.
Add a new run-time
(4) Expand WebSphere Application Server, select the application service connector that you want to configure, and then click Next.
Select Connector
(5) Click Browse and navigate to the WebSphere installation, folder, and then click Next.
Run-time configuration
(6) From your installation folder, locate the profile list and choose from it, and enter the security certificate (if security performance is enabled) so that myeclipse can connect to the configuration file.
Add a server instance
(7) Click Finish to finish adding the target runtime, and then click Finish to start the migration.
Select Target Run time
The migrated project will appear in Project Explorer.
Import and migrate projects
The Target Runtime property page allows you to switch between project-related WebSphere runtime containers that are provided by different versions of WebSphere. This makes it easier to migrate projects between WebSphere versions.

The Migration Wizard is called automatically when you import a project that needs to be migrated. However, if you need to migrate one or more projects in your workspace (that is, you completed before the Migration Wizard), you can use the workspace migration to start migrating the processes for those projects.
To open the workspace migration view, select Window>show view>other. Select the workspace migration, and then click OK.

To open the Migration Wizard, select the items that you want to migrate, and then click Tools on the Workspace Migration View toolbar.
