One service machine in the data center is in the depreciation period, and has been replaced by the newly purchased IBM machine X3950, Which is pre-installed with the windows 2003 server Standard Edition, therefore, only the OA system running on the Unix platform is migrated to the new windows 2003 platform.
Preparations for the administrator before migration:
I,Disable domino and prohibit replication and access to this old server.

Manually back up the names. nsf admin4.nsf, notes. ini, and certlog. nsf files in the/domino/lotus/notesdata/directory of the solarisx system to ensure the latest data.
In addition, cert. id, server. id, user. id, top5.dsk, and Cache. DSK. Do not forget to back up all files under the mail directory *. nsf mail file and TSYOA directory (this is a database file developed by our Organization ).
Note: During the backup process, you will encounter a file name ending with. ft, which is a full-text index file that does not need to be copied. Back up all user ID files;
II,Install Domino R5.10 on another server. Remember not to prepare the Domino System for the moment. Note that the installation version must be the same as the original version. Do not upgrade it at will.
3. Copy the backup names. nsf admin4.nsf and certlog. nsf to the domino/data directory. Copy the TSYOA directory to the domino/data directory. If the data volume is large, the copy time will be long.
IV,You must put the cert. id, server. id, and user. id files in the domino/data directory. Note: The passwords of these three identifiers must be known and used in the following configuration.
V,First, disconnect the old Domino machine and start the Lotus Domino Server on the new machine. Of course, the network parameters of the new machine and the fully qualified host name must be consistent with the original one. Then we start to configure the new machine, the process is subdivided into the following four small steps:
1. Create a New Domino server, the first Domino service machine, as shown in figure
2. Select the setting method and advanced configuration.
3. Server user-Advanced Settings: select a Web browser and the POP3 and SMTP options of the Internet mail package.
