The original Intel motherboard has supported UEFI since the Intel 4 series chipset.
How to identify whether Intel's original motherboard supports UEFI:
1. Find the motherboard model on intel.com
All boards: http://www.intel.com/cd/products/services/apac/zho/motherboards/322048.htm
Assuming that the motherboard d525mw: http://www.intel.com/cd/products/services/apac/zho/motherboards/desktop/D525MW/overview/454115.htm is found
2. Download BIOS
Click "latest bios and driver" on the page.ProgramUpdate to go To the BIOS download page.
Assume that mwpnt10n. 86a. 0078. BI. Zip is downloaded.
3. download intel integrator Toolkit
Download Page: http://www.intel.com/design/motherbd/software/itk/
4. Use the integrator toolkit to open the BIOS file and check whether the UEFI option is available in Boot. If UEFI is available, it can be enabled or disabled.
The UEFI option is available after the BIOS of the d525mw motherboard is enabled. Therefore, it is estimated that the d525mw supports UEFI as follows:
Ubuntu 11.04 supports PC UEFI
UEFI win7 Activation
Use pcskys_win7_loader_v3.01.
