Scratch is a simple graphical programming tool for teenagers designed and developed by the MIT Media Lab. In conjunction with the concept of scratch building block programming, teenagers and children can learn the basic concepts and techniques of programming in entertainment. And recently MIT's scratch development team announced that Google will work together to develop a new generation of Scratch 3.0 software.
The two sides will collaborate on the development of a new generation of open-source "Scratch" bricks: A set of graphical programming units containing different programming instructions through different types of toy combinations. The next generation of bricks will open source and allow developers to create and share the "bricks" of each game, as well as integrate bricks into their children-developed apps, and the next generation of scratch bricks will integrate more community resources, serve a wider audience, and operate on more categories of devices, providing better support for mobile devices.
Since scratch launched version 2.0, Scratch has transformed itself from a programming language into a language and community-based product. The scratch community is an integral part of scratch, and its active community atmosphere is also the main reason why scratch has reached such a great influence. |
