MLDonkey + VPS server to build an offline download Environment

I have mentioned offline download for many times and have been sharing the offline download VIP account of thunder. Offline download is mainly used to solve the problem of remote download for a long time.

 
Currently, offline download is mainly used on two key nodes.
 
First, download from the server (for example, downloading from Thunder offline)
 
Second, local offline download, mainly because some routers or NAS storage devices have built-in download software. Even if the computer is turned off, it can also help us continue to download.
 
The offline download environment I will mention in this article is mainly used to solve the Server Download problem.
Two essential tools for building an offline environment:
 
1. One VPS or independent server, now VPS in the United States has sold cabbage prices, especially linux vps, which can be done at a low cost of a month. I have installed the ora12 operating system. Other linux operating systems are similar.
 
2. MLDonkey-a server software that supports downloading BT, HTTP, FTP, and edonkey. Why is this software used? MLDonkey provides a Web management interface. Simply put, you can use a browser to manage download tasks on the server. You can add, delete, rename, monitor the download speed, reset the download parameters, and perform other operations, which is much easier than using the command line.
 
Officially started:
 
Execute the following commands in sequence:
 
Yum install mldonkey-server // install software mldonkey server software in yum Mode
 
/Etc/init. d/mldonkey stop // stop mldonkey Service
 
Vi/var/lib/mldonkey/downloads. ini // edit the configuration file, the IP address of your computer authorization, note to add your own Internet ip address, you can open the http://ip38.com/Query
 
Find allowed_ips and change 127.0.0.1 to your own IP address. The software allows authorization to an IP segment. For detailed settings, see the official website documentation.
 
/Etc/init. d/mldonkey start // restart the mldonkey service.
 
Enter http: // domain name or IP: 4080 in the browser address bar
 
Open the Web management interface to add tasks. Click the "option" button to modify more parameters, such as the maximum number of connections, upload speed, and download speed. After modifying the value, press "Enter.
 
I tested it and downloaded BT, HTTP, FTP, and edonkey. Files are stored in/var/lib/mldonkey/by default. to modify the file, you can set a new storage path by modifying the downloads. ini configuration file.
