Mobaxterm Add Cygwin Package

The last time the best free alternative to the mobaxterm:ssh/x remote client, Xmanager, describes Mobaxterm, a portable, Unix-only toolkit on Windows, which is based on Cygwin and integrates ftp/telnet/ssh/ Rdp/vnc a variety of remote connectivity capabilities, as well as X server to support the X desktop or run x program.

Although Mobaxterm itself integrates a lot of tools, and also provides more than 20 large and small plug-ins, but see the Cygwin official warehouse inside so many software and can not use, or will be very itchy, especially some of the necessary tools.

Mobaxterm's 7.2 release, released in early August, provides the ability to add packages directly from the Cygwin official warehouse:

• New feature:added "Mobapt", a new package manager based in the great "apt-cyg" tool, for automatic installation of Cygwin Utilities through the Internet.
• New Feature:you can now specify a persistent root folder ("/"). This is especially useful if you want to install packages using "MOBAPT" and you want to keep them across Mobaxterm Restar Ts.

Once specified in the option settings persistent root folder ,Mobaxterm will extract its integrated Cygwin environment into the directory, then load the Cygwin environment from that directory after rebooting, so that a basic Cygwin environment can be obtained very quickly. (It's much easier to install the base package than with Cygwin Setup.exe)--but it's not clear that Mobaxterm has a new version and how to update the content.

Then you can use it to provide the mobapt (or APT-CYG, because Mobapt is the APT-CYG did some encapsulation and provide the interface) from the Cygwin official warehouse to add packages, such as first to solve the man I always feel uncomfortable (I said last time):

Here are a few small places to note:

• manwhen installed, it will be skipped by the installation method. Cygwin installation tool is to use /etc/setup/installed.db this file to record the installed package, but mobaxterm inside a apt-cyg little change, will be /etc/setup/mobainstalled.db inside the record also as already installed package to consider, and here actually recorded package is not Cygwin native package, It is a simplified version provided by Mobaxterm in various ways;
• For the above reasons, it is not recommended to use Cygwin original setup.exe to install and upgrade the package;
