Problem description:

Today, we inserted a mobile hard disk in Linux to copy the file, and unununmounted the file. When we used it again in windows, we were prompted to format the file.

Warning:

This problem is caused by damage to partition tables and file information areas. It can be easily fixed without formatting.

Solution:

1. In windows, open and run the Start Menu, Enter cmd, and enter command line mode.

2. view the volume label of a mobile hard disk, for example, an I Disk: Enter the following command in the command line:

"Chkdsk I:/f"

Wait until the computer is restarted (or delete it safely)

Another method is to use the DiskGenius software for repair. This method is complicated and is not recommended.
