Business Architecture

The PIM business's networking structure is based on a combination of the National PIM platform and the province-built PIM platform. The networking structure is shown in the following figure:

Among them, the national centralized PIM business system and the provincial PIM business system through the Cmnet network interconnection. Mobile terminal through the WAP gateway HTTP proxy access to the PIM business system. The PIM business's PC client is interconnected via the Internet and centralized PIM business systems across the country. The server address of the Unified PIM business system is set up on the user terminal. The WAP gateway is responsible for querying the enum DNS for the PIM business platform to which the user belongs, and forwards the request to the appropriate PIM business platform. For users with provincial platforms, the WAP Gateway forwards synchronous requests to the provincial PIM business system; for users without a provincial platform, the WAP gateway forwards synchronous requests to the centralized PIM business system nationwide.

Requirements for SYNCML versions and synchronization methods

The PIM terminal and server should provide an HTTP 1.0/1.1-based SYNCML synchronization interface to support terminal address this remote synchronization feature.
