Modify file encoding in batches in Linux

Source: Internet
Author: User

Assume that all PHP files under the ipaddr directory need to be encoded from gb2312 to utf8

CD ipaddr

Find./-type F-name "*. php" | while read line; do

Echo $ line

Iconv-F gb2312-T UTF-8 $ line >$ {Line}. utf8

MV $ line $ {Line}. gb2312

MV $ {Line}. utf8 $ line

Done

The above script transfers all PHP files under the current ipaddr directory from gb2312 to utf8, and saves the original text as *. php. gb2312.

To delete the original gb2312 file, run the following command:

Find./-type F-name "*. utf8"-exec Rm-F {}\;
