After investigation, you can modify the startup resolution in the following ways: sudogedit/etc/usplash. the conf file is displayed as follows # Usplashconfigurationfilexres = 1280 yres = 800 here 1280*800 is applicable to my local file. Sudo gedit/etc/usplash. conf

Open as shown below
# Usplash configuration file
X res = 1280
Yres = 800
