Modify the default startup Item for both Ubuntu and Windows systems.
First installed on the computer to the Windows system, and then installed to Ubuntu. Ubuntu was started by default, and now you want to modify it.
The procedure is as follows: Enter sudo gedit in the terminal /Boot/grub. cfg (in this case, you may need to enter the password and enter the password). After opening the cfg file, you will see the following document (the location to be modified can be located based on the general position of the scroll bar that opens the document)
The statement marked as "1" is the statement that controls the default system. Here, the parameter on the right of the equal sign is "1", Because ubuntu is the second one in my system (if you know something about programming, it should be known that the array is numbered from "0 ). Modify the "1" of the statement according to the following content. So how do you know the number of systems you want to start by default? In the document shown below, let's look at the code similar to the following:
"2" is to set the time displayed on the System Selection interface. Here, I set it to 6 seconds. You can select it as needed ., I also marked two places, one marked as NO.0 (No. 0th) and the other marked as No. 1 (No. 1st ). We can easily see that, NO.0 is the Windows 7 system, and NO.1 is the ubuntu system. In this order, we can count down, so we can see that set default = "1" (I set ubuntu to start the system by default ).
Set the default system for boot. You only need to modify set default = "1" Set the time displayed on the boot system page. After setting set timeout = "6", save the document and restart it, by default, the system and page display time have been completely modified according to your settings.
