In the window on the right, find the string "programfilesdir", which records the path of program files.
Double-click to change the value from "% systemdrive % \ Program Files" to "D: \ Program Files", and then exit the registry.

Directly modify the key value of "profilesdirectory" indicating "user configuration file location" to the desired folder. "% Systemdrive %" in the default value indicates the hard disk partition where the default system is located. For example

After "user configuration file location" is modified, the "user configuration file template" and "public folder" Folders will not be automatically copied to the modified location, however, in the path where the new "user configuration file location" is located, if the two folders do not exist, the user cannot log on normally. Therefore, you need to manually copy these two folders to the new location.

Select, "show all files and folders" on the "View" tab, and select "OK" (modify the location of the "user configuration file template" and change it back to the default value ).
Open the Documents and Settings folder under "system partition (drive C)", copy the "Default User" and "all users" folders, and copy them to the new location set when you modify the registry. For example

After completing the preceding operations, restart the computer. After a user is created, the system automatically creates a user configuration file folder with the same name as the user name in the new location.
