Win2k Terminal Services can run in two ways: Remote Management or application server mode.

Application Server Mode: allows remote users to run a certain number of applications. This mode optimizes the application response time. Remember the previous thin client? Default port number of the Terminal Service: 3389.

Change method:
I. server side:
1. First place
Run regedit and find [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Terminal Server \ Wds \ rdpwd \ Tds \ tcp]. Do you see the PortNumber on the right? In decimal format, change it to the desired port number, for example, 7126, as long as it does not conflict with others.
2. In the second place, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Terminal Server \ WinStations \ RDP-Tcp. The method is the same as above. Remember to change the port number just like the above.
Ii. Client:
Open the Client Management connector, click a connection that has been created, and click "file"> "Export )"......
Use the record book or other text editing software to find the exported. cns file and find the "Server Port = 3389" line?
Change the default 3389 value to the same port number as the server.

Windows XP/2003

When using an XP or 2003 client, it can display a variety of colors, sound, and more powerful functions. However, the method for modifying the connection port of the terminal client is different from that of WIN2000:

Based on the idea of changing the client of 2000, save the default configurations of XP and 2003 (click "Save as" on the connection interface). What is different from 2000 is: the configuration file suffix for XP and 2003 is. rdp, WIN2000 is. cns
Use NotePad to open the location default. in the rdp file, no 3389 stuff is found in it (the configuration file of 2000 is available). Without the configuration of this port, we will add it, assuming that the current port is 8933, as follows:
