If you need to uninstall MongoDB, then there are several ways to accomplish this depending on what you want to implement. First, uninstall is just MongoDB

This will delete just the MongoDB package itself.

1 sudo apt-get remove MongoDB
Second, uninstall MongoDB and its dependencies.

This will remove the MongoDB package and any other dependents packages that are no longer needed

1 sudo apt-get remove--auto-remove MongoDB
Third, clear your configuration data

If you also want to delete your local/config file for MongoDB, then this will work.

1 2 3 sudo apt-get purge MongoDB or sudo apt-get purge--auto-remove MongoDB
