Since January this year, the Ministry of Public Security has launched the first batch of "fake Taobao" website attacks. During January, more than 10 fake websites were banned. Over the next month, more than 2000 fake Taobao websites were successively seized.

The reporter learned that these fake website pages are often the same as regular shopping websites, but the website name is changed, it is difficult for consumers who have just been online shopping to identify. According to related data, 5% of online shopping users were cheated, and the extracted money ranged from several thousand yuan to several thousand yuan.

It is understood that Taobao has already opened a reporting forum for "fake websites". Of the more than 2000 fake websites investigated this time, 1100 of them were reported by netizens. The Ministry of Public Security reminded consumers that they should increase their awareness of risk prevention during online shopping. Before confirming whether the seller's integrity is reliable, do not easily pay the prepayment and deposit to the other party. When surfing the Internet, pay attention to such traps and properly protect your bank card number and password to avoid property losses.
