Network Environment
Is an mpls vpn network. Create a TE tunnel from PE1 with the destination address PE2 and configureHot Backup(Hot-standby ). Where:
The main path is PE1 --> P1 --> PE2;
The backup path is PE1 --> P2 --> PE2;
When the main path fails, the traffic should be promptly switched to the backup path. However, in this case, the entire network is interrupted when a fault occurs, that is, hot backup does not play a role.

After the hot backup function is configured, the master path of TE tunnel (in this example, PE1 --> P1 --> PE2) is manually specified, then, a backup path (PE1 --> P2 --> PE2) is automatically calculated. When the master uses LSP to disconnect, traffic is forwarded using the backup path. After troubleshooting, when a link in the primary path fails, all traffic has indeed been switched to the standby path, but a link in the standby path also fails, and all the two paths are interrupted. Therefore, TE tunnel is displayed as down. In the future, although the faulty link in the standby path is restored, the TE tunnel has been down and needs to be restored manually, resulting in service interruption.
