MS SQL Basics Tutorial: Environment for Enterprise Manager

Users can start the Enterprise Manager through the Start menu or shortcut, and start the Post interface. As shown in Figure 5-1.

The interface of Enterprise Manager is a standard Windows interface, consisting of a title bar, a menu bar, a toolbar, a tree window, and a Task object window (also called a taskpad).

The menu bar of Enterprise Manager is divided into two layers, the top one is the main menu bar, and the next level is the Console menu bar. The main menu is basically unchanged while the program is running, and the menu in the Console menu bar is dynamic, displaying different menu content as the operation is performed. Where the action and view two menus are most dynamic and display different menu items as the actions are performed in different ways. Especially the Action menu, which has the same menu item as the shortcut menu at the time. The menu items in the Tools (tolls) menu remain unchanged while using Enterprise Manager, except that different menu items are enabled or disabled for different actions. The toolbar for Enterprise Manager is also dynamic and will increase or decrease the icon as the operation is performed differently.
