"Requirements description"
The Windows Server R2 System state is backed up and you need to keep the system state backup data for three days, but we find that Windows Server Backup is not able to create multiple backup schedules, cannot set the number of backup copies saved, etc.
"Workaround"
If you have used Windows Server Backup, then you must know that you can only build a backup plan on the Windows Server backup interface (I have common sense but not found where multiple backup plans can be configured), and backup options are only available once per day and multiple times per day, and there is no option for a few days at all, and Windows Server Backup has two mechanisms for saving its backup copy: on a local directory or direct-attached disk, it retains every backup copy. The first backup copy is deleted until the backup space is full, and each backup copy is an overlay relationship that cannot be separated from each other, and on the remote directory it retains only the most recent backup copy, each time overwriting the backup.
In fact, as long as a good study, this function can be achieved, but the operation is relatively complex, through the backup plan we can see that it is actually through the way of planning tasks, but also to schedule the backup task, if you look carefully will find that there will be a tracking of the scheduled task, So we can work on this requirement by scheduling tasks.
"Experimental Steps"
If you are storing on a shared disk, you can do so in the following ways
1. Create a new three directory in the shared directory (to meet the need to retain a three-day backup);

4. Select "Customize" and click "Next"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 462 "title=" clip_image008[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image008[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/14/wkiom1r3ormgnacfaafhjq9-rmo962.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
5, "Add Item" select "System Status", click "Next"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 462 "title=" clip_image010[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image010[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/13/wkiol1r3oz2q3uicaafkeqbt4tu514.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
6. Select "Every time" click "Next"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 460 "title=" clip_image012[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image012[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/13/wkiol1r3oz7auki4aaf1asnwsne262.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
7. Back up to the shared network folder and click "Next"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 462 "title=" clip_image014[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image014[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/13/wkiol1r3oz_yr_luaahtnwep9ai229.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
8, here we choose the first directory, namely BACKUP01, click "Next"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 464 "title=" clip_image016[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image016[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/13/wkiol1r3o0cxrq3waag38vnez3s035.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
9. Configure the username and password to execute the task plan, click "OK"
650) this.width=650; "height=" 303 "title=" clip_image018[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image018[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/13/wkiol1r3o0dq7l33aadfmrn54um917.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
10. Click Finish
650) this.width=650; "height=" 462 "title=" clip_image020[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image020[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/13/wkiol1r3o0gjn2ndaafpfqimyre798.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
11, we can see the corresponding task plan in the Mission Plan library.
650) this.width=650; "height=" 341 "title=" clip_image022[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image022[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/13/wkiol1r3o0lgty4naafidgvigv8399.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
12, then we double-click the corresponding scheduled task, click "Edit Trigger", here we set the scheduled task time for each day, and then back every two days;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 492 "title=" clip_image024[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image024[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/13/wkiol1r3o0pbp3giaagqfefqiyi120.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
13, then we export the backup configuration, and then delete the corresponding task schedule;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 445 "title=" clip_image026[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image026[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/13/wkiol1r3o0pxizseaafxrjb5hbq019.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
14. We then create a new backup plan in Windows Server Backup, this time we set the backup location to the BACKUP02 directory;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 463 "title=" clip_image028[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image028[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/13/wkiol1r3o0taa0bmaag_za-azro971.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
15, the same we modify the corresponding backup schedule task backup time for each day, every two days backup, here is a place to note, is to start planning task time, because we have set up the previous November 25, 2014, So we're going to have to set the schedule for the day, November 26, 2014, to achieve three backup date sequences.
650) this.width=650; "height=" 491 "title=" clip_image030[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image030[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/14/wkiom1r3osldm3xjaagzgs2fsue822.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
16, the same we re-export the scheduled task to save, in case of the need for the future;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 444 "title=" clip_image032[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image032[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/14/wkiom1r3oskt52j-aafjvp9f8bi744.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
17. We then set up a third backup plan in Windows Server Backup, which is located in the BACKUP03 directory;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 461 "title=" clip_image034[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image034[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/13/wkiol1r3o0fa3vkwaag_-kgxhmo345.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
18, the same we need to set up its scheduled task time for every two days to backup, but the start time on November 26, 2014 time to add another day, that is, November 27, 2014;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 492 "title=" clip_image036[9] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image036[9] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/13/wkiol1r3o0jc_ls8aagj8psfua4967.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
19, here should be careful not to delete the current backup task schedule, or the subsequent Windows Server backup plan will not be successful, when we click on the "Import task", just two exported tasks imported into;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 285 "title=" clip_image038[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image038[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m00/54/14/wkiom1r3osxxenuyaadsrv3eeu4702.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
20, this time we can see the two tasks that have been imported, namely BACKUP01 and BACKUP02;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 213 "title=" clip_image040[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image040[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m01/54/14/wkiom1r3oswxkgtpaadg5odby2y801.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
21, then we do the backup test, we will find that at all the backup will show 3 copies, click "View Details" can see the corresponding three backups, corresponding BACKUP01, BACKUP02, BACKUP03;
650) this.width=650; "height=" 261 "title=" clip_image042[4] "style=" border:0px; "alt=" clip_image042[4] "src=" http:// S3.51cto.com/wyfs02/m02/54/13/wkiol1r3o0rhadpeaaewybzonfy114.jpg "border=" 0 "/>
