The original intention was to install Fedora17. In view of past experiences, I had no fear. Instead, I planned to die in the first step. I always like to use a USB flash drive to install the system, so there is no doubt to download LiveUSB-creator
But cannot be burned. After Baidu, the original USB flash drive should be formatted into the FAT format, while FAT only supports 2 GB or less. Okay, so I used the mass production tool of the group association, divided the 8 gb usb flash drive, and finally got the FAT format. However, I still cannot burn it. (do you know why ?). Don't worry, you have to play. The production tool can also generate the CDrom format, which is imported into the image file, but still cannot be installed (the reason will be discussed later ).

Then I will give the dish to the client. Choose to install the USB flash drive. After burning, the installation process is still blocked. Baidu only knows that a disk supports only four primary partitions, and the remaining unallocated disks cannot be used. My win7 is divided into four zones, so the installation process always prompts that there is no available disk. Even more sadly, the partitions in the win7 installation process cannot be deleted, that is, disk management and deletion are not allowed. Therefore, the reason for the failure to use CDrom to install Fedora should also be this. This is also a low-level error when I read the notes of laruence's private kitchen this evening. This should be the most critical factor for dual-system installation, which involves the knowledge of the primary partition, extended partition, and logical partition of the disk.

The installation is successful. Have a good experience. Ubuntu's desktop is still gorgeous, but it just crashes in a short period of time and cannot be shut down and restarted. It must be executed from the terminal. I have to think about the reason why Linux is not popular, even if the desktop version of Linux has a pretty good visual experience. These desktop versions are difficult to run stably. The new version is not very backward compatible and can directly combat developers' enthusiasm. The application software itself is not backward compatible and is more inclined to support the updated features. Perhaps, these are the costs of fast Linux version updates.

Let's talk about the Internet. Of course, China Telecom is automatically connected without further discussion. The school's campus network uses the ruijie client, so mentohust should be used in Linux. Here, you need to use the mentohust command to set relevant parameters. If it is a static IP address, you need to set the IP address, gateway, and mask. At the same time, you must set these parameters in the network connection of ubuntu. In the end, you can disable the network connection during the installation process. After installation, you can update the software. In this case, you can check the update source suitable for the connected network, which affects the download speed. If the source is not suitable, the installation time is estimated to be less than half an hour.
