My MACBOOK diary (Virtual WIN7 installation)

 

Apple's operating system is really awesome, stable and fast. Especially Office 2011 and PhotoShop CS5, which were last updated, are not a little smoother.

The disadvantage in the United States is that you cannot use online banking or use Windows. Therefore, you still need to install another Windows system.

I started to want to install the dual-system, but Windows only needed a little bit. It was not very convenient to restart the system every time I switched the system. Therefore, it is better to install a virtual system.

Virtual Machine software uses the free VirtualBox. Although we have been using VMWare for a long time, we really don't want to spend time surfing the Internet to find a solution.

VirtualBox is easy to install and use. The following is a brief description of some problems encountered, so you should not take a detour:

I. Software Version

Install VirtualBox 3.2.12 and download the VirtualBox-3.2.12-68302-OSX.dmg installation package from www.virtualbox.org.

Because the new version 4.0.10 is downloaded, an error is reported when the system is started after the virtual system is installed and created. Some solutions can be found online, but most of them are in Linux.

Intuition tells me to try the next lower version first, because sometimes it is much harder to solve a small problem than to reinstall it once.

 

Ii. Page display size and mouse Switching

After the Windows system is successfully installed, the two main problems encountered during use are the display page size and mouse switching between Windows 7 and mac OS.

The problem of the display interface cannot be automatically adjusted, including only displaying the size of a specific resolution in full screen mode.

The mouse switches between Windows 7 and mac OS. Although you can use the function key on the left side of the keyboard, it is not very convenient.

In fact, the above two can be solved by installing the built-in enhancement software of VirtualBox without modifying any configuration.

After you click "device"> "Install enhancement", the system automatically loads the built-in ISO file and installs it in the virtual system.

 

3. surfing the internet

If the installed system cannot access the Internet, the meaning of installing the system will be lost. However, after logging on to Windows, you cannot log on.

Later, we found that the NIC under WIN7 needs to set the IP address by default, as long as it is changed to automatically get it OK.

 

4. Use a USB disk

Using the U Key of the online bank and the general U disk makes it a little troublesome to use the usb port of VirtualBox. You need to add each usb device one by one.

Disable the system before adding the device, insert the device to the usb port, and add the device to the configuration page in the "configuration" menu of the WIN7 system.

 

5. Create a ing directory

VirtualBox can add a ing directory for files accessed by the virtual WIN7 system.

First, add the ing directory in the "device"> "allocate data space" of VirtualBox, and then you can find it in the sharing of the WIN7 system.

You can also create a virtual drive letter ing to the shared directory in WIN7.
