MySQL 1040 too many connection error problem

Generally either the server is not up, or the maximum number of connections MySQL set is too small

View MySQL Maximum connections

Show variables like ' max_connections ';

variable_name | Value |
+-----------------+-------+
| max_connections | 151

View the maximum number of connections in the past

Show global status like ' Max_used_connections ';

variable_name | Value |
+----------------------+-------+
| max_used_connections | 152

If the maximum number of connections in the past is greater than the maximum number of connections, the setting is small, otherwise it will start from the server angle.

Modify the maximum number of connections method

1. Enter MySQL Console

Set GLOBAL max_connections=256 (fails after reboot)

2. Add or modify inside the MY.CNF

max_connections=256

Restart MySQL
