MySQL database 5.1 official version is coming soon

Sun has confirmed that all major vulnerabilities in the latest version of MySQL 5.1 have been fixed and everything is ready. Urlocker said Sun promised that before applying a public release label to the product and officially recommending it to customers in the production environment, we must ensure that the product can be put on the market without any problems. this is why Sun is asking for help in the product release candidate edition (RC) stage. at the same time, Urlocker also said that, with the efforts of developers, all known vulnerabilities that have been reported by customers with no fixed priority as one and two have been fixed.

Noel Yuhanna, an analyst at Forrester's market research institute, believes that if MySQL wants to expand its existing functions to provide support for a high-performance enterprise-level environment, it will inevitably encounter difficulties on this road to improvement, sun's delayed release is the most powerful proof. it takes about three years to develop MySQL 5.1. Therefore, it has added a large number of enterprise-level functions to improve performance, such as row-based replication and other features. this function can replicate data changes between the master server and slave server, rather than the actual SQL statement. to improve flexibility, the MySQL team also added the hybrid replication feature. You can choose to use statement replication or row replication based on a single SQL operation. other enhancements include support for five different Data Partition formats: hash partition, list partition, key partition, range partition, and sub-partitioning partition, it is said that this feature can help customers process ultra-large datasets. considering that these functions are very complex, you must invest a lot in R & D and testing, especially if you want the software to support large and complex production environments.
