Mysql-error 1140 (42000) Error resolution

Query statement:

SelectStudent.stu_name,Max(Score. Number) fromStudentInner JoinScore onstudent.stu_id=score.student_idInner JoinCourse onscore.course_id=course.cou_idInner JoinTeacher oncourse.teacher_id=teacher.tea_idwhereTeacher.tea_name="Linda";

Error:

ERROR1055(42000): Expression #1  of SELECTList is  not inch GROUP  byClause andcontainsnonaggregatedcolumn 'Oldboy.student.stu_name'which is  notFunctionally dependent onColumnsinch GROUP  byClause This isIncompatible withSql_mode=Only_full_group_by

Workaround:

Quit MySQL

Vim/etc/my.ini

Under [Mysqld], add the following code:

Sql_mode=strict_trans_tables,no_zero_in_date,no_zero_date,error_for_division_by_zero,no_auto_create_user,no_ Engine_substitution

: Wq Save Exit

Service mysqld Restart Restart Mysqld Services
