MySQL authorization table in Windows and Linux

In Windows, you do not need to create a data directory or an authorization table after installing mysql. A set of pre-initialized account authorization tables exist in the MySQL database under the Data Directory. Do not run the mysql_install_db script used in Unix.

After installing MySQL on Unix, You need to initialize the authorization table, start the server, and ensure that the server works properly. Specify a password for the account in the authorization table.

In Unix, the authorization table is set by mysql_install_db.

If the system is CentOS5, you only need to run # mysql_install_db -- user = mysql -- datadir =/var/lib/mysql_ndbd/

Make sure that the mysql Logon account has database directories and files so that the server can have read and write access permissions in the future.

Of course, you can also log on with mysqld_safe -- user = mysql -- skip-grant-tables & skip the authorization table, log on to it and re-grant permissions, and update the permission table: flush privileges
