MySQL Windows ZIP-free setup and startup

MySQL Windows zip free install, set up and start the process is actually quite troublesome. The following step-by-step article describes the process used:

1. Download windows (x86, 64-bit), ZIP Archive:

3, copy the My-default.ini under MySQL, create My.ini under the same directory. Simple configuration:
Basedir = d:/mysql-5.6.22-winx64
DataDir = D:/mysql-5.6.22-winx64/data
Character-set-server=utf8

4. Set the environment variable path. Add D:\mysql-5.6.22-winx64\bin to path.
5. Start and display log:
Admin command line > Mysqld–console
6. Register MySQL for Windows services:
Administrator status Command line > mysqld Install

Go to Service Manager to see if the service has been registered successfully:> Services.msc

Remove MySQL service command:> mysqld remove

Note: If the Windows Service installation fails, use the "sc delete MySQL" command to remove the service and try again.

7. Start MySQL service:> net start MySQL

Note: If the first boot fails, run "Mysqladmin-uroot-p shutdown" before starting the test.

Stop mysql service command:> net stop MySQL

8, Login Mysql:mysql-u root-p

9, modify the user password:
Mysql> GRANT all on . To ' root ' @ ' localhost ' identified by ' 123456 '

D:\mysql-5.6.22-winx64\bin> Mysqlshow
d:\mysql-5.6.22-winx64\bin> mysqlshow-uroot-p123456 MySQL
d:\mysql-5.6.22-winx64\bin> MySQL Test
