The above are the basic steps, but problems may occur after version 5.7. Below we will copy two articles for reference during the installation process:
How to install and configure MySQL 5.7 + decompressed version in windows by CoderCong
The method comes from the great Internet.
1. Download The. Zip MySQL Server package from the official website. Select x86 or x64 as needed. Note: You need to register an account and log on to the download page.
2. decompress the package to the desired location.
3. Copy and unzip the my-dafault.ini under the directory to the bin directory and rename it my. ini. And add the following content (the path should be modified according to your own situation ). It doesn't matter if there is no data directory. Next, let's proceed.
[Mysql] # set the default character set of the mysql client default-character-set = utf8 [mysqld] # set port 3306 to port 3306 # set the mysql installation directory basedir = C: \ mysql-5.7.12-winx64 # Set the mysql database data storage directory datadir = C: \ mysql-5.7.12-winx64 \ data # maximum number of connections allowed max_connections = 200 # the character set used by the server defaults to an 8-bit latin1 character set character-set-server = utf8 # The default storage that will be used when creating a new table engine default-storage-engine = INNODB
4. Since MySQL 5.7, Oracle has been committed to undermining the ease of use of MySQL and forcing users to use the Oracle database. Just kidding. However, the absence of data folders invalidates many configuration methods on the Internet,If Initialization is not performed, the mysql service cannot be started.. The initialization method is as follows:
(1) Run cmd as an administrator and cd it to the bin directory in mysql and run the command: mysqld -- initialize -- user = mysql -- console
(2) This command will create the data DIRECTORY and database to generate the root user and temporary password. For example, we need to remember this command to facilitate login.
5. Configure environment variables. Otherwise, you must cd to the bin directory every time before using mysql. Right-click this computer-properties-advanced system settings-advanced-environment variables, add your bin directory in the PATH in the system variables, such as: C: \ mysql-5.7.12-winx64 \ bin, click OK! Generally, no restart is required.
6. install MySQL service, run cmd as administrator, and enter mysqld install MySQL -- defaults-file = "C: \ mysql-5.7.12-winx64 \ bin \ my. ini ", where the path is your formal ini file.
7. Run cmd, enter net start mysql to start MySQL service, input mysql-u root-p, and enter the temporary password. Change password: set password = password ('new password'); then press Enter. Note that the semicolon cannot be omitted.
That's it.
Solution of Table 'mysql. plugin 'doesn' t exist during MySQL deployment by Yanina2011
Today, the installation-free version of MySQL is deployed, and Table 'mysql appears. the problem of plug-in 'doesn' t exist has been plagued for a long time. Finally, I found a solution on the Internet. I 'd like to share it with you:
System Environment: Win10 64-bit
MySQL version: mysql-5.7.17-winX64
The deployment steps are as follows:
1: Modify the environment variable path, added value C: \ Program Files \ mysql-5.7.17-winX64 \ bin
2: Modify my-default.ini, rename TO my. ini, modify file content:
# Basedir = C: \ Program Files \ mysql-5.7.17-winX64
# Datadir = C: \ Program Files \ mysql-5.7.17-winX64 \ data
Create an empty data folder under the Home Directory "C: \ Program Files \ mysql-5.7.17-winX64;
3: Run cmd as the administrator. Enter mysqld-install to check whether the installation is successful. Enter net start mysql to prompt that the service fails to be started,
In this case, you can see five files in the data folder and open the file suffixed with. err. The prompt is: Table 'mysql. plugin 'doesn' t exist.
The solution to this problem is:
1. Copy my. ini to the \ bin folder;
2. Go to the \ bin directory in cmd, and enter mysqld -- initialize -- user = mysql -- console to execute this command to generate the database. Note that there is a temporary password. Remember to write it down;
3. start the Service net start mysql;
4. Run the mysql command: mysql-uroot-p and enter the password;
5. enter set password = password ('root') to change the root logon password;
I have successfully followed this operation and hope to help you.
