MySQL Force change Password

When MySQL forgets the password, the following steps are enforced:

 1. Edit the configuration file with the command /etc/my.cnf

  

  2. Add a statement to make it into a state without a password skip-grant-tables

  

3. Save and exit, then command line input mysqld--skip-grant-tables

   4. Restart the MySQL Services service mysqld Restart

  

  5. Command line input MySQL can be directly entered, no password required

  

  6. Next, you can set up your new password.

  

UPDATE MySQL. User SET Password=Password (' new password 'whereUSER=' Root ';

  Refresh the system access related tables flush privileges;

Then exit.

  

  7. Finally go in /etc/my.cnf cancel password-free login status

  

8. You can now log in using the password you have set. mysql-uroot-p (Enter and enter the new password you set)
