MySQL Forget password

1. Kill the MYSQLD process first:

Service MySQL Stop

2. Use the Skip-grant-tables option to start MySQL:

Vi/etc/my.cnf

Add under Mysqld

Skip-grant-tables

3. Login Change Password:

Service MySQL Start

Mysql-uroot-p

SET PASSWORD for ' root ' @ '% ' = old_password (' 123456 ');

--update User Set Password=password ("123456") where user= ' root '

Flush Privileges

4. Turn off MySQL

Service MySQL Stop

5. Restore the configuration file

Vi/etc/my.cnf

Drop Skip-grant-tables

6. Start the MySQL service

Service MySQL Start
