This tutorial takes the MySQL 4.1.22 version as an example, and a newer version of the installation process is similar. Before reading, please download 4.1.22, download the address: www.mysql.com or http://www.skycn.com/soft/24418.html
After downloading is a Zip compressed package: mysql-4.1.22-win32.zip (note to find the installation package used under Windows), with WinZip or WinRAR decompression after the run Setup.exe to install, as shown in Figure 3.1.
Figure 3.1
The installation process, like other Windows installers, appears first with the Installation Wizard welcome interface, as shown in Figure 3.2.

Click "Next" directly, continue, select the type of installation, see Figure 3.3.
Figure 3.3 Here are 3 types: typical (typical), Complete (complete), custom (customization). Select Custom installation, then click Next Next, and the custom installation interface appears, as shown in Figure 3.4.
Figure 3.4 MySQL will be installed in the C:Program Filesmysqlmysql Server 4.1 folder by default. You can change the path by changing the path. I think it's too long, change to the E:mysql Server 4.1 directory, see figure 3.4.1.
Figure 3.4.1 Point "OK" back to the Custom installation interface, you can see the path has been changed to the path you set, see Figure 3.4.2.
