I had a hard time getting started with mysql for the first time. The installation was always unsuccessful and the service could not be started. Later, I downloaded the ZIP Archive version from the official website. Instead of installing it, I directly decompressed it to the disk, make some simple configuration.
Software: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/ download requires an oracle account to be registered.
1. installation:
Find the mysql decompression path, enter the bin directory, and right-click to open the command window here. In the command window, enter mysqld install
Prompt that the installation is successful and the next step is displayed.
2. Start the service
In the command window, enter net start mysql to start the mysql service, or run services. msc to find mysql startup.
3. Open mysql
Enter mysql-u root-p in the Command window, and the system will prompt you to enter the password. If there is no password at first, press Enter. Use the command mysqladmin-u root-p password to change the password.
4. Use visualization tools
OK. The basic operation is complete. Download a Navicat or similar software to operate the database!
