Specific procedures:

Turn off MySQL:

1 # service mysqld stop
(If the service command does not exist, CD/ETC, execute mysqld stop) Then:
1 # (sudo) mysqld_safe--skip-grant-tables
(after the command completes, the terminal may not prompt for the next command, the following command is implemented in the newly opened terminal) (new open terminal, execute this command)

Start MySQL:

1 # service Mysqld start 2 # mysql-u root3 mysql> use mysql4 mysql> UPDATE user SET Password=pa ssWOrd ('xxx') WHERE user='root'; 5 mysql> flush privileges; 6
When Root does not have permission, use the following command
mysql> UPDATE mysql.user SET grant_priv='y', super_priv='y' WHERE user='root'; MySQL> FLUSH privileges;mysql'  root'@'localhost';
