MySQL Community server is open source free, which is also the version of MySQL we usually use.

Mysqlworkbench OSS is the Open source Community version published under the GPL certificate, while MySQL Workbench SE is a commercial version that is billed annually. There is a certain difference in its function

Second, Release notes:

1. Alpha implies that this is a version that is intended to show the new features, there are more destabilizing factors, and new features are added to the code

2. In a beta, release, or product release, all APIs, external visual structures, and SQL command columns are no longer changed, and new features that affect code stability are no longer added to your code.

3. RC refers to the Release candidate. Release candidates is believed to be stable, passing all of MySQL's internal tests and fixing all known fatal bugs. However, the RC version has not experienced enough time to confirm that all bugs have been found, but only minor bug fixes for RC version

4. GA If there is no suffix, it is implied that this is a usable version in most cases or a product version: GA releases is stable and passes the previous version of the test and shows its availability, resolves all serious bugs, and is suitable for use in production environments. Only a few more serious bug changes will be added to this version.

Generally speaking, we recommend using the GA version in a production environment
