MySQL User login password and remote login permissions issues

1.mysql database, forget the root user login password.

Resolved as follows:

A. Reset Password

#/etc/init.d/--user=mysql--skip-grant-tables--skip-networking &-u root mysqlmysql > UPDATE User SET password=password ('newpassword'where user='  Root'; MySQL> FLUSH privileges;mysql> quit;

B. Sign in with a new password

#mysql-U Root-pnewpassword

2. Telnet permissions

' MyUser '@'%'mypassword' with GRANT option;mysql > FLUSH privileges;

The above authorization is to allow MyUser users to access the MySQL server from any machine.

% represents any client, or localhost, or an IP address.
