Mysqld_safe start, usr/local/mysql/data/ib_logfile0 is of different size... Error

After mysql 32-bit binary distribution is installed in linux, the mysql service is started directly without configuration files. Then use the configuration file/etc/my. cnf to configure the global variable and start it. It is found that mysqld_safe has been started and an error is reported. The specific error message is:

The size of the ib_logfile0 file is always different from the configured value. Startup failed.

Check the cause and find that these files have been generated in the data directory because of the previous startup. Therefore, if you set the variable value instead of the file size, an error is reported.

Solution:

Directly delete the file generated before startup in the data directory, including the binary log file, and then start again. No problem!
