Nagios monitors HP server hardware information with the CHECK_HPASM plugin:

Monitored side:

$ sudo tar zxfv check_hpasm-4.3.tar.gz

$ CD Check_hpasm

$./configure--enable-hpacucli--enable-perfdata--enable-extendedinfo

$ sudo make

$ sudo make install

$ sudo vi/etc/nagios/nrpe.cfg

Command[check_hpasm]=/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_hpasm--perfdata Short

: Wq

$ sudo service nagios-nrpe-server restart


Monitoring side:


$ sudo vi/usr/local/nagios/etc/objects/ming.cfg

Define Service{
Use Local-service
Host_name Ming
Service_description hpasm
Check_command check_nrpe!check_hpasm
}

: Wq

$ sudo service Nagios restart
