Netsh virtual wi-Fi under Windows 7

The literal meaning of Netsh is the network shell, which is actually a command-line utility that originally appeared on the Windows 2000 operating system to help manage network settings in Windows. Since then, Microsoft has continued to refine it, adding new command sets to it. For example, a set of WLAN commands has been added to Vista and Server 2008 to provide management capabilities for 802.11 wireless connections and security settings. Additional WLAN commands are now added to the Win7 and Server 2008 R2. Therefore, this feature is limited to Win7 and Win2008, and the computer has a wireless NIC installed.

Commands for virtual Wi-Fi

Virtual Wi-Fi is a virtual wireless access point that you can create in Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2. This feature has already been provided by a VIRTUALWI-FI program that Microsoft has given up.

You can specify the network name (SSID), but the name will be broadcast to all virtual wireless networks, and WPA2-PSK encryption must be enabled. The function of the virtual wireless network is built into a DHCP server, so the user will automatically assign the IP address.

To use the characteristics of a virtual wireless network, a user's wireless network adapter must be WIN7 certified driver. After the supported adapters are detected, Windows automatically adds a connection to the Network Connection window called Microsoft's Wi-Fi miniport adapter.

Netsh wlan set hostednetwork: Set up for the wireless managed network using the following parameters:

mode = {Allow|disallow}

SSID = Wireless Network Name

Key = Your password

Keyusage = {Persistent|temporary}

Netsh WLAN export hostednetworkprofile: Saves the configuration file of a virtual wireless network as an XML file, using the following parameters:

Folder = path and filename

Name = Configuration file for wireless network

Netsh wlan start hostednetwork: Enabling and starting broadcast wireless managed networks

Netsh wlan show hostednetwork: Displays the settings for the wireless managed network, including the list of connected users

Netsh wlan refresh hostednetwork: Sets a new WPA2-PSK key for the virtual wireless network. You just type in this command and you can use your own favorite key.

Netsh wlan stop hostednetwork: Disables and stops broadcasting of virtual wireless networks.

Windows does not automatically start a virtual wireless network after the computer resumes or restarts from hibernation. If you need to start a virtual network, you must do it manually. There is also the need to configure the computer to share its Internet connection with users connected to the virtual access point (using Windows Internet Connection Sharing properties).

As for the source, it is not said, quite simple, there is no innovation, mainly the application of Netsh command, behind will write some network grab bag and cracked things, this is a foreshadowing. The source download address is below.
