The number of machines in Internet cafes is increasing, and games are updated faster and faster. Therefore, we must constantly update machine systems and games to meet customers' needs. There are also various game update software, but the update speed is too low when we are performing the update work. Using the whole partition to clone and disassemble the machine box is too troublesome! Then, the network is cloned into an update method that can be completed by pressing the keyboard without disassembling the machine box.

I. Applicable environment for network cloning:

Network cloning uses the Network Multicast technology to update one-to-multiple data. To run the Network clone operation, you must have a certain network environment.

1. Stable network transmission speed: Network cloning uses the working principle of data broadcast, so the network transmission speed must be stable.

2. The Network clone server must run stably: Because the Network clone function is data multicast, the server must have high requirements and the concurrent request processing function should be better. If there is a problem with the Network clone server, the hard disk data of all clients will be lost.

3. fast network transmission speed: to use network cloning, you must ensure a MB network environment. The speed of network transmission directly determines the number of clients during network cloning.

2. Steps for network cloning:

1. Download the Network clone from the relevant website.Program(Download the Network clone client and server ). In this program, the client and server programs have been integrated to find the server program cloned by the network. For ease of use, we can place the entire network clone program on the Network clone server and client.

2. Create a Network clone image: directly attach the system disk to the Network clone server. Note that the system disk must be set as the slave disk, the Network cloning program must be installed on the master hard disk of the network cloning server. There must be enough disk space on the hard disk of the Network clone server to create a cloned image file.

When running the ghost program to create a disk image, select "Local → disk → to image (1)" to create an image file for the entire system disk. Then proceed to the next step and select the disk to be mirrored, which is the second slave disk instead of the primary disk. When creating a disk image and selecting whether to compress the image file, select "no". (2) This will speed up network cloning.

Name the image file Bak. gho and save it to the Network clone server.

3. Create a Network clone client program: The Network clone end must be able to start at least the DOS prompt before using the Network clone. If there is no formatted hard disk, and there is no dos boot program, it cannot be cloned using the network. Open the Network clone program we just downloaded and put it in a folder. If you do not need to modify other files, you can directly find a file named go. bat with the following content:

Rtspkt.com is the driver of the rtl8139 Nic in DOS. For different NICs, find the driver of the NIC in DOS and go. load the driver under the DOS of the NIC in the BAT file. If your client uses the D-link 530tx Nic, you must find the D-link 530tx driver dlkfet.com in DOS, and copy this program to the Network clone package, and then go. modify the contents of the line where the NIC Driver is loaded in the BAT file. Change to the following content:

If you want to use the DHCP server to dynamically allocate IP addresses, You need to delete the wattcp. cfg file in the Network clone program. To speed up network cloning, we recommend that you create a DHCP server and dynamically allocate IP addresses. Otherwise, you need to modify the content of the wattcp. cfg file and modify the content on each machine, which is troublesome (Even lazy ).

Appendix: For your convenience, write the method for modifying the wattcp. cfg file. Right-click the wattcp. cfg file, select edit, and modify the file content:

IP = 192.168.0.5 note: this IP address is the IP address manually specified by the client.

Netmask = 255.255.255.0 note: this is the subnet mask manually specified by the client.

Gateway = 192.168.0.254 Note: This is the gateway address manually specified by the client.

In the above file, because each client requires an independent IP address, you must manually change the file in each client. If there is a DHCP service in our network, we do not need to modify the contents of the wattcp. cfg file one by one.

4. Start the Network clone server: Open the server program, enter the name jiaweb in "server name", and select the image file Bak. gho of the system disk we just created. Because we clone the entire network, select "disk" in the "disk" and "partition" options, and click "accept customer" to start the Network clone server.

5. Start the network cloning client: Open the machine, enter the DOS prompt, directly enter go. bat, and then directly,

You can see the network cloning client program. After selecting the "multicasting" option, enter the name of the network cloning server to enter a single-host cloning interface. The following operations are the same as single-host cloning.

6. Start network cloning: After all clients start the network cloning client program, on the network cloning server, you can see how many network cloning clients have been connected, the MAC address and IP address of the NIC are displayed. Click "Start transfer" to start network cloning. Then we can see that the client has started to clone the data.

Iii. Network cloning

1. Reasonably arrange the number of network-cloned clients: because all data is transmitted over the network during network cloning, you must make sure to perform network cloning based on your network conditions, select a reasonable number of clients. Generally, the number of clone clients in the network is about 40-70, and the network condition is good. You can select 100.

2. Network cloning can also be performed on individual partitions. During single-zone cloning, check the partitions to be cloned after entering the network cloning client program.

3. Different network environments have different network cloning speeds. The fastest network cloning speed cannot exceed 300 MB/S. The normal speed is between 50-150 Mb/s. Before cloning a large-area network, test your network speed and test the network speed one by one.

4. Do not interrupt the operations of the client during network cloning; otherwise, the hard disk data of the client will be lost.
