2. Master environmental information

In order to prevent accidental damage, outdoor cables should generally be placed in underground pipelines. If overhead is required, the cables should be tall (4 meters high) and fixed on the wall or pole, do not place frames on poles, wires, walls, or even door frames or window frames. Indoor cables should generally be laid in the cable trough at the top of the wall.
Communication Equipment and various cables should be fixed to prevent random movement and affect system reliability.
In order to protect the indoor environment, cable trough should be installed in the room, and cables should be placed in the cable trough. All cables must be drilled into the room and floor, and all cabling must be horizontal and vertical.

Optical Fiber Cable
A. Laying optical fiber cables should not be twisted;
B. the curvature radius of the optical fiber cable must be greater than 30 cm;
C. Protection steel pipes should be added to the exposed parts of optical fiber cables, and steel pipes should be firmly fixed on the walls;
D. The PVC pipe should be added when the optical fiber is worn in the underground pipeline;
E. Indoor cabling of optical cables should be installed in cable Trough;
F. The optical fiber laying should have a margin for expansion and contraction, and the margin should be appropriate and should not be too tight or too loose.
Twisted Pair wires
A. the twisted pair wires should be laid straight in the cable trough in the corridor and indoors;
B. the maximum length of the twisted pair cable from the workstation to the hub is 100 meters. The connection between the twisted pair wires exceeding 100 meters is extended;
C. The cabling of twisted pair wires in the data room should be bundled into line archives, and there should be certain rules for cabling and should not be put in disorder;
D. numbers must be indicated on both ends of the twisted pair cable to facilitate understanding the relationship between the node and the hub interface;
E. Twisted Pair wires should be securely inserted into the NIC of the hub and workstation;
F. When the node is not used, you do not need to unplug the twisted pair cable, which does not affect the work of other nodes;
G. Twisted Pair wires are generally not installed outdoors. When a small part is installed outdoors, the casing should be installed in the outdoor part;
H. Select the eight-core twisted pair wires. When you install the connectors on your own, the eight wires should be installed properly. Do not install only four wires or cut off the other four wires.
Iv. Network Device Installation
Hub Installation
A. the hub should be installed in a dry and clean room;
B. The Hub should be installed on a fixed bracket;
C. The fixed hub bracket should generally be above 500mm from the ground;
D. The cable inserted into the hub should be fixed on the bracket or wall to prevent accidental disconnection.
Transceiver Installation
A. Select the position where the transceiver is installed on the crude cable (the transceiver is installed on the crude cable, and the shortest distance between the two receivers is 25 meters );
B. Use a transceiver to install a dedicated tool to drill holes on the crude cable. When drilling, drill holes must be located in the middle of the crude cable and drill to the end (that is, drill all the bit holes );
C. install the transceiver connector. the transceiver connector has three pins (one in the middle and one in each side of the signal pin). The signal pin must be vertically connected to the holes on the rough cable, install and fasten the fixed bolts );
D. use A multimeter to measure the electrical resistance between the signal needle and the grounding pin. The resistance value is about 25 ohm (the electrical resistance of the two ends of the rough cable has been installed). For example, the electrical resistance is infinite, generally, the signal pin is not in contact with the coarse cable core, or the transceiver is not fixed or not drilled to the end during drilling, and the transceiver is fixed again or hard;
E. Install the transceiver and fix the screws;
F. The transceiver should be fixed on the wall or bracket and should not be suspended in the air;
G. Install the transceiver cable;
H. The transceiver cable first goes parallel to the crude cable and then turns to ensure reliable connection between the transceiver cable plug and the transceiver.
Nic Installation
A. Do not select the slot on the far side of the computer for Nic installation. The slot on the far side of the computer has a machine frame, which affects network cable plugging and causes inconvenience to debugging;
B. The NIC installation method is the same as that of other computer cards. Because the NIC has external wiring, the NIC must be fixed on the computer rack with screws.
5. Device Installation
To ensure the quality of network installation, follow these steps:
First, read the device manual and installation manual.
Out-of-the-box equipment should be checked according to the packing list, and the appearance of the equipment should be checked carefully and carefully recorded.
The device is in place.
The installation should start from the server and connect the cables one by one according to the instructions.
