New features of IBM Notes 9

Notes 9 will support customers to continuously create more efficient work teams, providing a more intimate and convenient user experience in all aspects. New homepage design, new Oneui theme, numerous Notes mail features, new calendar features, etc., from interface to functionality, none of which is not a new surprise. In the following sections, we will introduce you to Notes 9, which are the major new features.

New home page: Discover page

Notes 9 introduces a new Discover page to replace the original get Start page. You can have an intuitive feeling about their differences from the following two pictures.

You can see that the new page style is more concise and refreshing, while carrying more information. Of course, this is not a simple information stack, all the design is to better serve the user. The new page contains four subpages:

What ' s NEW: This page introduces all the new features in Notes 9, concise text, straightforward documentation, and video tutorials to provide users with the most intuitive knowledge that is more efficient in presenting new features to users.

For new User: Of course, we are also very concerned about the experience of new Notes users when they first come into contact with the product. This page provides the most direct guide to new users and takes a few steps to get users to use and experience Notes.

Hints and Tips: For a variety of commonly used functions, provides some tips and best practices, nothing is better than the previous experience summed up the instructions.

Discover page is a new experience, but also a full range of experience. Here, you can find a variety of help documents (read), demo video (watch), and also through the shortcuts to open all kinds of dialog box to set up your client (hands-on), these are to better enable users to understand and discover our products.

Concise New theme: Oneui

Oneui is the unified appearance standard of the IBM ICS product line, working to reduce complexity and interface color saturation, thereby highlighting more important elements on the interface. The Oneui theme style is introduced in Notes 9, as shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4. At the same time, INotes 9 uses the same style, and users will have a consistent user experience no matter which tool they use.
